This six-day private journey brings together some of northern Tanzania’s greatest wildlife landscapes with a final cultural experience around Lake Eyasi.
Begin with a relaxed arrival in Arusha before travelling into Tarangire National Park, where elephant herds and ancient baobabs define the landscape. Continue into the legendary Serengeti, spend a night camping on the Ngorongoro highlands, and descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for exceptional wildlife viewing.
The journey concludes differently from a conventional northern circuit safari. At Lake Eyasi, spend time learning about the traditions of the Hadzabe hunter-gatherers and Datoga people, bringing a human and cultural dimension to your time in Tanzania.Â

DAY ONE · ARRIVAL IN ARUSHA
Welcome to Tanzania
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, meet your driver-guide and transfer to your hotel in Arusha.
The remainder of the day is yours to settle in and prepare for the safari ahead. If time allows, you can explore Arusha with visits to places such as the Cultural Heritage art gallery, local market and Maasai Market.
Enjoy a relaxed first evening before setting out for the wilderness the following morning.

DAY TWO · TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
Among Elephants & Baobabs
After breakfast, leave Arusha and travel approximately 120 kilometres south towards Tarangire National Park.
The park follows the Tarangire River, an important source of water for wildlife during the dry season. Spend the day exploring its distinctive landscapes, where immense baobabs rise above the savannah and large elephant herds are among Tarangire’s signature sights.
Your game drive may also reveal giraffes, lions, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest and many other species before you leave the park and continue to your lodge for the evening.

DAY THREE · SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Into the Endless Plains
Today, journey towards the legendary Serengeti, where immense grasslands and woodland form one of Africa’s greatest wildlife ecosystems.
Spend the day exploring the park in search of lions, cheetahs, elephants, buffalo, giraffes and abundant plains game. The Serengeti is also home to the Great Migration, with immense numbers of wildebeest and other herbivores moving through the wider ecosystem according to seasonal rainfall and grazing.
As evening approaches, settle into your campsite inside Serengeti National Park for dinner and a night surrounded by the wilderness.

DAY FOUR · SERENGETI TO NGORONGORO
From the Plains to the Crater Rim
Spend the morning exploring the Serengeti, making the most of your final hours across its wildlife-rich plains.
In the afternoon, leave the Serengeti and continue towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where wildlife and Maasai pastoral communities share the wider landscape.
Your evening is spent camping on the Ngorongoro highlands, just a short distance from the crater rim, positioning you perfectly for the following morning’s descent.

DAY FIVE · NGORONGORO CRATER
Into Africa’s Natural Amphitheatre
After breakfast, descend into the extraordinary Ngorongoro Crater for a day of game viewing within one of Tanzania’s most remarkable natural landscapes.
Surrounded by crater walls rising approximately 600 metres, the floor supports an exceptional concentration of wildlife. Search for lions, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, elephants, hippos and the endangered black rhino as you explore its grasslands and wetlands.
Later in the afternoon, ascend from the crater and continue towards the Lake Manyara and Mto wa Mbu area for dinner and your final overnight stay.Â

DAY SIX · LAKE EYASI
A Different Side of Tanzania
Begin early and travel towards Lake Eyasi for a cultural experience that brings the journey beyond Tanzania’s national parks.
Spend time with the Hadzabe, one of Tanzania’s remaining hunter-gatherer communities, and learn about aspects of their traditional way of life, including hunting techniques, fire-making and daily routines.
You will also meet members of the Datoga community, known particularly for traditional metalworking and blacksmithing skills.
After the cultural encounters and a simple local lunch, begin the scenic journey back to Arusha or continue directly to the airport, bringing your six-day journey to an end.
