Begin among the ancient baobabs and elephant-rich landscapes of Tarangire National Park, then explore the forests, springs and lakeshore habitats of Lake Manyara. Your final day takes you into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, where an extraordinary concentration of wildlife inhabits the floor of an ancient volcanic caldera.
Two nights at Kankari Lodge provide a comfortable base between each day’s adventure.

DAY ONE · TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
Among Elephants & Ancient Baobabs
Your safari begins with collection from your hotel in or around Arusha, followed by an approximately two-and-a-half-hour drive towards Tarangire National Park.
Spend the day exploring a landscape famous for its immense baobab trees and remarkable elephant populations. Game drives reveal open wilderness shaped by the Tarangire ecosystem, with opportunities to encounter giraffes, lions, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest and many other species along the way.
As the afternoon draws to a close, leave the park and continue to Kankari Lodge for dinner and your first night.

DAY TWO · LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK
Between Forest & Lake
After breakfast, set out for Lake Manyara National Park and spend the day exploring one of northern Tanzania’s most varied compact landscapes.
Beneath the dramatic Great Rift Valley escarpment, the park unfolds through lush vegetation, clear streams, springs and the wider lake environment. Your game drive offers opportunities to encounter elephants, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, hippos, baboons and rich birdlife as you explore the park’s contrasting habitats.
Later in the afternoon, return to Kankari Lodge for dinner and another relaxed evening before the final day’s journey.

DAY THREE · NGORONGORO CRATER
Into Africa’s Natural Amphitheatre
Rise early for breakfast before travelling into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descending into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater.
Spend the day exploring the crater floor, where its natural boundaries support an exceptional concentration of wildlife. Search for lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas and the endangered black rhino while travelling through one of Tanzania’s most remarkable natural landscapes.
After your crater game drive, ascend towards the highlands and begin the journey back to Arusha, with airport drop-off marking the end of your three-day safari.
