Begin among the ancient baobabs and celebrated elephant herds of Tarangire National Park, before spending the night in the highlands near Karatu. The following morning, descend into the extraordinary Ngorongoro Crater, where grasslands, forests and wetlands support one of Africa’s greatest concentrations of wildlife.

DAY ONE · TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
Among Elephants & Baobabs
Your journey begins in Arusha, departing in the morning for Tarangire National Park. After approximately two to two-and-a-half hours on the road, enter a landscape of open savannah, thorn woodland and ancient baobab trees shaped around the life-giving Tarangire River.
Spend the day exploring by private 4×4, with opportunities to encounter the park’s celebrated elephant herds alongside giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo and predators including lions. After your game drive, leave the wilderness behind and continue to your lodge for a relaxed evening.Â

DAY TWO · NGORONGORO CRATER
Into Africa’s Natural Amphitheatre
After breakfast, travel towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for an extended game drive.
Across the crater floor, open grasslands, wetlands and woodland support an extraordinary diversity of wildlife. Search for lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, hippos and the endangered black rhino while exploring one of Tanzania’s most remarkable natural landscapes.
After approximately six to seven hours of game viewing and a picnic lunch, ascend the crater walls and begin the journey back to Arusha, where your two-day safari comes to an end.
