DAY ONE · MAASAI VILLAGE

Meet the People of the Land

Depart Arusha after breakfast and travel towards Monduli for an immersive visit to a traditional Maasai community. Spend time with local hosts and gain an authentic introduction to Maasai traditions, family life and their deep connection with the land. Learn about traditional homes, clothing, livestock and customs, with opportunities to experience traditional songs and dances. Later, return to Arusha for a relaxed evening at your accommodation.

DAY TWO · TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

Among Baobabs & Elephants

After breakfast, journey south to Tarangire National Park for a rewarding day of wildlife viewing. Famous for its ancient baobab trees and impressive elephant herds, Tarangire offers a wonderfully wild landscape shaped by the life-giving Tarangire River. Explore the park in your private safari vehicle, looking for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, lions and an extraordinary variety of birdlife. Later, continue to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY THREE · MTO WA MBU

A Taste of Local Tanzania

Today offers a slower and more intimate look at Tanzanian life. Explore the lively village of Mto wa Mbu on a guided cultural walk through local farms, banana plantations, markets and artisan workshops. Meet local residents, discover traditional farming practices and sample some of the flavours produced in the area. Enjoy a locally prepared Swahili lunch before returning to your lodge for a relaxed afternoon and evening.

DAY FOUR · NGORONGORO CRATER

Into Africa’s Natural Sanctuary

After an early breakfast, travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend approximately 600 metres into the extraordinary Ngorongoro Crater. This vast natural amphitheatre supports an exceptional concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, zebras, wildebeest and, with some luck, the endangered black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by the crater’s spectacular scenery before ascending the crater walls and beginning your journey back to Arusha.
