Begin with a relaxed arrival in Arusha, before travelling through the elephant-rich wilderness of Tarangire and the wonderfully varied habitats of Lake Manyara. Continue into the legendary Serengeti, where vast plains and abundant wildlife create the heart of the safari, before descending into the remarkable Ngorongoro Crater.
Your final day changes the rhythm completely. Travel to Materuni Village beneath Kilimanjaro for a guided waterfall hike and traditional Chagga coffee experience, ending the journey with a glimpse of Tanzania beyond the safari vehicle.

DAY ONE · ARRIVAL IN ARUSHA
Welcome to Tanzania
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, meet your driver and transfer to your accommodation in Arusha.
Settle in after your journey and enjoy a relaxed introduction to Tanzania. If time permits, you can explore the city with optional visits to the Cultural Heritage art gallery, local market and Maasai Market before returning to your lodge for dinner.

DAY TWO · TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
Among Elephants & Baobabs
After breakfast, meet your safari guide and leave Arusha for Tarangire National Park.
Spend the day exploring a wilderness shaped by the Tarangire River, immense baobab trees and some of northern Tanzania’s most impressive elephant populations. Game drives offer opportunities to encounter giraffes, lions, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest and numerous other species.
Enjoy a picnic lunch within the park before continuing your exploration. Later, travel to Farm of Dreams Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

DAY THREE · LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK
Between Forest, Escarpment & Lake
After breakfast, travel to Lake Manyara National Park for a day exploring one of northern Tanzania’s most diverse compact wildernesses.
The park brings together acacia woodland, groundwater forest, dramatic cliffs, hot springs, swamps and the lake itself. This variety creates excellent habitat for elephants, giraffes, buffalo, hippos, baboons and prolific birdlife.
Manyara is also famous for its tree-climbing lions, adding another possibility to the day’s wildlife encounters. Later, return to Farm of Dreams Lodge for dinner and a second overnight stay.

DAY FOUR · SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Into the Endless Plains
Today, leave the Lake Manyara area and journey towards the legendary Serengeti National Park.
Spend the day game driving through Central Serengeti, where open grasslands and varied habitats support lions, cheetahs, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, hippos and abundant plains game. The wider ecosystem is also home to the Great Migration, with wildebeest and zebra moving through different regions according to the seasons.
As evening approaches, settle into your tented camp inside Central Serengeti and experience your first night surrounded by the wilderness.Â

DAY FIVE · SERENGETI TO NGORONGORO
From the Plains to the Highlands
Wake early and return to the Serengeti for another game drive, making the most of the cooler morning hours when wildlife activity can be especially rewarding.
Search for lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, wildebeest and other wildlife before enjoying brunch and beginning your journey towards Ngorongoro. Continue game viewing along the way as the open Serengeti gradually gives way to the elevated landscapes of the Ngorongoro highlands.
Arrive later in the day at your tented camp for dinner and an overnight stay close to the crater.

DAY SIX · NGORONGORO CRATER
Into Africa’s Natural Amphitheatre
After an early breakfast, descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for approximately six hours of game viewing.
Explore its grasslands, wetlands and woodland in search of lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas and, with some luck, the endangered black rhino. Around midday, pause for a picnic lunch at Ngoitoktok Spring before continuing your exploration.
Later, ascend from the crater and return to Arusha, where you spend your final night before the following day’s Materuni experience.

DAY SEVEN · MATERUNI WATERFALLS
Beneath Kilimanjaro
Your final day reveals a greener and more intimate side of northern Tanzania.
Travel from Arusha to Materuni Village, set on the fertile slopes beneath Mount Kilimanjaro. Join a guided walk through lush farmland and vegetation towards the impressive 80-metre Materuni Waterfall, with time to enjoy the scenery and, conditions permitting, take a refreshing dip.Â
Return to the village for a traditional Chagga coffee experience, learning how locally grown coffee is prepared from bean to cup, including roasting and tasting. After a local lunch, return to Arusha or continue directly to the airport for your onward journey.
