This four-day safari brings together three landscapes that define the northern Tanzania safari experience.
Begin among the giant baobabs and elephant herds of Tarangire National Park, before travelling into the legendary Serengeti, where two days allow you to experience its immense plains and abundant wildlife. Your journey then continues into the Ngorongoro highlands, ending with a descent into the wildlife-rich Ngorongoro Crater.
Travelling in a small shared group, with a maximum of six guests per safari vehicle, makes this an excellent choice for travellers looking to experience Tanzania’s classic northern circuit within four well-paced days.

DAY ONE · TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
Among Elephants & Baobabs
After breakfast, meet your safari guide at your hotel in Arusha and travel towards Tarangire National Park for your first day in the wild.
Spend the day exploring a landscape shaped by the Tarangire River, immense baobab trees and open savannah. The park is particularly celebrated for its large elephant herds, while giraffes, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest and lions are among the many species that may be encountered during your game drive.
Enjoy a picnic lunch within the park before continuing your exploration. Later in the afternoon, leave Tarangire and travel to your lodge for dinner and a relaxed first evening.

DAY TWO · SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Into the Endless Plains
After breakfast, set out towards Serengeti National Park and enter one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife landscapes.
Spend the day game driving across the Serengeti, where open plains and varied habitats support an extraordinary abundance of wildlife. Look for lions, cheetahs, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, hippos and immense numbers of zebras and wildebeest.
The Serengeti is also home to the Great Migration, although the location of the migrating herds changes throughout the year according to rainfall and grazing conditions.
As evening approaches, settle into your tented camp inside Central Serengeti for dinner and a night surrounded by the wilderness.Â

DAY THREE · SERENGETI TO NGORONGORO
One Last Morning on the Plains
Wake in the Serengeti and head out for another game drive, making the most of your final hours across the plains. Morning conditions offer another opportunity to search for predators and observe the wildlife activity that makes this ecosystem so remarkable.
After a picnic lunch, leave the Serengeti behind and continue towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where wildlife, dramatic highland scenery and Maasai pastoral life share the wider landscape.
Arrive at your tented camp near the crater for dinner and an overnight stay, perfectly positioned for the following morning’s descent.

DAY FOUR · NGORONGORO CRATER
Into Africa’s Natural Amphitheatre
After breakfast, descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for the final game drive of your journey.
Explore the crater floor with a picnic lunch along the way, travelling through grasslands, wetlands and woodland that support an exceptional concentration of wildlife. Lions, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, elephants and hippos are among the species regularly encountered, while Ngorongoro is also an important stronghold for the endangered black rhino.
Later in the afternoon, climb back through the crater walls and begin the drive to Arusha, bringing your four-day northern Tanzania safari to an end.Â
